Building a Brand with Facebook Ads
The best part of advertising through Facebook is the amount of visibility your business can get with a relatively low ad spend when compared to other forms of marketing. People are still spending more money on billboards than they are on their Facebook marketing and they just have no idea how much they are leaving on the table!
It’s funny how quickly people will grow to know your company with just some simple engagement campaigns targeting your local community! I have a client right now that people have noticed her out and about while shopping and have stopped to ask her about her business! This happened very quickly after I started working with her to grow her brand!
Engagement Campaigns
Engagement campaigns within Ads Manager are how you’re going to grow in your local community. Video is your best friend with engagement campaigns. It allows you to put yourself in front of your audience. They will immediately feel a connection to you if they’re your target customer! Your target customer will begin to relate to you and your personality if it’s someone that will want to work with you!
Building that personal rapport is where most businesses aren’t willing to stand out. They want to be behind a veil, they worry that they won’t do well on video or they can’t provide anything to their customer through video. It’s just not true! No matter what your business is, you can provide a better look for your customer through video! That’s why so many companies are willing to spend so much money to get on TV. Even if there’s absolutely no targeting that’s possible, they want to get in front of as many eyes as possible!
Targeting
Targeting is huge in Facebook! You can target an incredibly small area of a town or all over the world! You need to know exactly who you want to target in order to take advantage of the knowledge that Facebook has about it’s users. Are there interests, age ranges, or specific types of people that you’d want to target? Take all of this into account when deciding who you want to see your ad.
There are very different strategies whether you’re looking for a local audience or an online presence. Both are doable, but you need to tweak your strategies to fit! For most local audiences, you don’t want to break down your specific targeting too much. This allows more people to share and talk about your company to each other. However for online audiences, you really want to break down your ideal customer so you aren’t wasting money showing your ad to millions of people who wouldn’t be interested!
Building a brand is extremely important to having a successful local business. And the good news is that not a lot of businesses are actually doing this the correct way! So many believe that just posting organically in their Facebook page or boosting posts will get them results, but now you know how you can do it correctly!
